When exposed to the outdoor elements copper will change colors over time as it develops a patina which adds a layer of protection against the natural elements. This process is completely natural and takes many years for the color to change from the shiny brown of new copper to the unique green of older copper. The 12-inch 304 stainless steel burner produces 65,000 BTUs of heat and glimmering flames. Lava rock is included with this fire bowl. If substituting for fire glass, 80 pounds is recommended. This unit features match light ignition.
